Is a 3.4 GPA Good?

A 3.4 GPA is nearly half a point higher than the national average GPA, which is a 3.0. This is a very good GPA. However, if you can tip it over the 3.5 mark, you’ll have a GPA worth bragging about.

For high school students

For most colleges and universities, a 3.4 GPA is more than high enough to apply. If you have enough extracurricular activities and a high standardized test score on your application, you may even be eligible for scholarships.

For college students

A 3.4 GPA is well above the minimum 2.5 GPA required by most graduate programs. In fact, a 3.4 GPA might be high enough to pique the interest of an employer, if you’re considering entering the workforce.

How Can I Raise My GPA?

Raising a 3.4 GPA will be tough. You’ll have to go above and beyond to achieve a higher GPA, but it will be worth it to make you stand out on future applications.
